Captain Hunt (Lew Ayres) of the cavalry is trying to promote good relations with the Indian chief Acoma (Ted de Corsia). But Hunt's superiors in the military insist on pursuing policies that will provoke a conflict, and Chief Acoma is not willing to let himself be insulted.

What's wrong with Lincoln wishing for peace?!
Hoaky? Yep. Far-fetched? Yep. Bad? NO. The scene depicts the ideal of good people dealing with good people, regardless of the reality of the past.
...
Nothing wrong with that ideal. And I further say nothing wrong with a movie portraying that. In fact, we need more ideals portrayed in movies. I saw the rest of the movie and for its age, it's not a bad movies.

at the first,but still. so i admit i didn't see this movie, but there's something wrong- so wrong- about this i don't even care.
